Programming HVAC and Load Control
DreamWatts certified devices enable you to control and monitor over 50% of your building’s electrical consumption while saving 10%-15% on average. We’ve loaded communicating thermostats and load control modules with DreamWatts Zigbee® radios to minimize installation costs. These devices communicate wirelessly to the DreamWay Gateway and provide remote monitoring and control of rooftop and split HVAC systems, electric hot water heaters, lighting circuits, exhaust fans, compressors and more.

DreamWatts uses three techniques for saving energy, without losing comfort.
- Insure energy consuming devices are turned down or off when not in use.
- Manage system overrides.
- Use device level consumption information to manage each device and the entire system to optimal performance.
Most light commercial building owners have used programmable thermostats to better match occupancy to schedule. However, studies show that 73% of programmable thermostats are mis-programmed. Why? It’s too difficult to manually maintain the settings. Time changes, usage changes, power outages and remote facility management all contribute to the ineffectiveness of programmable thermostats.
A quick illustration. In a typical U.S. calendar year, there are nine holidays that fall on a weekday. Turning down the HVAC system for these unoccupied days results in a 3.5% energy savings. DreamWatts’ intelligent scheduling captures these savings with the drag of a mouse.
The DreamWatts system enables sophisticated override management in a simple interface. Limit overrides by temperature, time or user and save up to 10% on energy costs. Override information is available in graphical format for quick identification.
Information: we've got it, and we use it! Since we monitor each device, we help identify if devices are competing (e.g. one cooling while an adjacent device is heating), or if systems are operating less efficiently from one day, week, month, year to the next, enabling addional savings. DreamWatts automatically lets you know if your systems are not reaching their energy savings potential, and can automatically change the programming. Now that's Building Smart Power!
